How We Work Differently
Behind us are decades of experience from inside the military system itself — as investigators in the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division (MPCID), as prosecutors in the Military Advocate General's office, and as team and base commanders.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. We are not a general criminal practice that also accepts military files. We know the regulations, the procedures and the internal dynamics of the system from the inside, because we spent years operating it. When we tell a client how an investigation is likely to unfold, or what a particular officer is authorised to decide, that is not an educated guess.

Ofir served for many years as an investigations officer in the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division — as a team commander, as head of an investigations base, and in his final role as Commander of the Yoav MPCID Investigation Base.
He managed hundreds of complex investigations: drug use and trafficking, weapon theft, fraud, property offences, bribery and white-collar crime. His advanced training covers computer-crime investigation, communications interception, money laundering and fraud offences. He holds an LL.B (with honours) and an MBA, and is a member of the Israel Bar Association's Military and Security Committee.

Former Military Prosecutor
Limor served for many years as a senior prosecutor in the Military Advocate General's office. She handled hundreds of cases before the military courts, including sensitive MPCID files and matters involving weapons, drugs, property offences and sexual offences, and accompanied files from the covert investigation stage through to complex evidentiary hearings.
She holds an LL.B and an LL.M (with honours), and is a member of the Israel Bar Association's Military and Security Committee. The experience she built inside the system is the experience she now brings to the other side of the courtroom.

Working With Clients Outside Israel
A large part of our practice is conducted entirely at a distance, and clients are often surprised how much can be resolved without boarding a plane.
- Consultations by Zoom. A first consultation does not require you to be in Israel, or even in the same hemisphere.

- Emergency availability 24/7. If someone is detained or summoned to an interrogation, the timing is not negotiable and neither is our availability.
- Representation without your presence. With a power of attorney we can appear before Meitav and the relevant authorities, submit applications and correspond on your behalf.
- We work in English. You will not be asked to navigate Hebrew documents on your own.
Cases We Have Handled
A few real outcomes from our files, described without identifying anyone.
A young man registered as a draft evader for a year came to us with the problem already well advanced. After an approach supported by documentation, the criminal proceeding was cancelled and he enlisted without a stain on his record.
A pre-draftee with a serious medical condition applied to Meitav for an exemption. We prepared a properly built application: the legal grounds set out in full, alongside current medical documentation showing the extent of the impairment and why service was not possible. Meitav accepted our position and the exemption was approved quickly.
A fighter in an elite unit, with no prior record, was summoned to an MPCID interrogation after a commander noticed his red eyes. He went in alone and spoke without taking advice first — and came out a suspect in a criminal offence. After he came to us we were able to save the file: he was not convicted, and he remained in service.
A cadet in a combat officers' course, moments before returning his weapon at the end of the course, accidentally fired a single round while cleaning it. Nobody was hurt. The prosecution demanded many months of actual imprisonment and a criminal record lasting seventeen years. After the full picture was presented — his service as a fighter, and the immediate responsibility he took — he received fifty days of imprisonment and no full criminal record. Not an acquittal, but a very different life.
A career soldier serving as a discipline NCO in a combat unit was investigated by the MPCID on suspicion of sexual harassment and conduct unbecoming, after he enforced standing orders and reprimanded a soldier who was in the men's quarters late at night. He was fully acquitted on all counts. The case was reported by Ynet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be in Israel to work with you?
No. Consultations are held over Zoom, and with a power of attorney we can act before Meitav and the military authorities without you being in the country. Many files are opened, handled and closed while the client is abroad the entire time.
My son has never lived in Israel. Does he still have a draft obligation?
Possibly. Israeli citizenship generally carries a service obligation regardless of where you live, but there are recognised statuses — including deferment and exemption routes for those raised abroad — that can apply. What matters is that the position is presented properly and in time, rather than discovered at the airport.
Is it safe to travel to Israel with an unresolved military status?
It depends on what your file actually says, which is often different from what people assume. Some statuses create a real risk at the border and others do not. It is worth clarifying your status before you book a flight rather than after you land.
Can renouncing Israeli citizenship solve a draft problem?
Almost never, and it usually has to be resolved the other way around. The Ministry of the Interior will generally not process a renunciation while military obligations remain open, and renunciation does not erase an existing military file or legal proceeding.
What languages do you work in?
Hebrew and English. Correspondence, consultations and explanations of documents are all available in English.
